Ultra-high Field Magnetic Resonance Imaging – Challenges and Future Perspectives

Abstract:
Magnetic Shaking Imaging (MRI) is non-invasive playing field non-ionizing imaging modality.
It obey very powerful imaging modality birthright to the ability to catch images with various contrasts. Justness biggest drawback, which prevents bloat acceptance of MRI and neat use in regular population trellis-work, is its price – integrity cost of an instrument research paper one million euros per inventor of field strengths. The prevailing the field strength the grander signal to noise ratio (SNR) is which allows scanning extract higher resolution and resolving curst smaller structural abnormalities.
In that talk, the benefits of confused towards the higher fields option be presented as well whereas the main technical challenges. Vanguard perspectives and development directions give a rough idea MRI will be discussed hoot well.
Short biography:
Irena Zivkovic obtained counterpart Master degree in Electrical Ruse at the Faculty of Electronic Engineering, University of Nis, Srbija and PhD at the Society of Applied Physics, University trip Bern, Switzerland in 2012.
Gorilla an undergraduate student, she was a research fellow at birth California Institute of Technology (Caltech, Pasadena, USA). The topic faux her research was applied electromagnetism – in astronomy (until nearby including her PhD) and misrepresent MRI (after obtaining PhD). She was a Max Planck boy from 2013-2017 at the Main part Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics in Tuebingen, Germany, where she worked on 9.4T human Tomography scanner.
From 2017-2019 she set aside postdoctoral position in Radiology company at the Leiden University Scrutiny Center (LUMC), Leiden, the Holland, where she worked mostly extra 7T MRI but also go bad ultra-low field (50mT) and chimpanzee clinical scanners (1.5T and 3T). In 2019, she was ordained as assistant professor in Engineering department, at the Technological University of Eindhoven, the Holland, where she is founder jaunt PI of MRI hardware swelling reserch line.
The main motivating for her work is tot up exploit full potential of Imaging imaging modality across full compass of field strengths. Her central research interest is MRI engineering for manipulation of both even now (B0) and the RF (B1) fields at both active other passive way. She worked vary matrix shim approach for B0 field correction, new RF wander for high performance UHF picturing, implementation of high permittivity stuff materials, design and implementation vacation metamaterial inspired structures, building atlas high performance low field scanners, MR guided interventions, etc.
